Ic1a op amp6/11/2023 ![]() In order to implement Neuron Property #2, we need the squashing function. Resistor R12 is used to tie the summing point to ground in case of no inputs. The first op-amp IC1A is configured as a non-inverting summing circuit, to sum the voltages from the two inputs.Circuit diagram: The output of IC1a is fed into the second half of the op amp (IC1b), also configured as a Sallen-Key filter. As the op amp is powered from a single supply rail, two 10kO resistors and a 10♟ decoupling capacitor are used to bias the input (pin 5) to one-half supply rail voltage. However, the imperfections in the electrode anodiza-tion, as well as in the dielectric separations and circuit board, provide sufficient paths for the very weak dc bias required by the TL082 op-amp. This is true if we assume that all elements are ideal or close to ideal. Note that this circuit shows no obvious path for op-amp dc bias current. Here again, the selection of op-amps from the TLC27 family has the additional advantage that ESD protection circuits which may degrade high input impedance are unnecessary because LinCMOS chips have internal safeguards against high-voltage static charges. ![]() ![]() IC1A and IC1B are each one-half of a TLC277 precision dual op-amp's IC.
